Lydia Deetz

3D sculpt of Miss Lydia Deetz from the Beetlejuice animated series. I took a little inspiration from the stop motion puppet character designs in Corpse Bride to interpret Lydia's design from the animated series into 3D. The most difficult part was the top part of the hair. In the drawings it acts the same as Mickey Mouse's ears, in that it looks the same no matter what angle it is drawn in. On the final renders, I adjusted the hair for each angle in order to preserve the shapes and lines you see in the 2D model sheets.
